No it will not as long as the thumb hole is not tacky or full of sticky tape. The material is very stretchy and it will stay tight on your thumb. If it feels loose you may need a smaller size.

Lycra is very slick so you may need to depending on how you curently have your hole. We definetely do not want you pinching the ball to hold on so you do want to make sure the hole is tight with black tape. This will allow you to relax the hand and pop out of the ball cleanly at release.

Lycra is a very slik material and allows you to get out of the ball quickly. The Tamer material is almost like a soft t-shirt. It protects the thumb from rub, calluses, humidity... while still letting you pop out of ball cleanly at the release point.
